Xin chào 🌿
Rất vui được làm quen với bạn.
I’m Trân, a Southern Vietnamese tutor based in Can Tho City, offering one-on-one or small group Vietnamese lessons for adult learners, both online and offline.
I work mostly with learners who want to go from “I only know a little Vietnamese” to actually using Vietnamese smoothly and confidently in real conversations — at home, at work, and in daily life in Vietnam.
Who I Help Learn Vietnamese
My students are usually adults who:
- Are learning Vietnamese from scratch or rebuilding a lost foundation
- Are living in Vietnam, planning to move here, or connected to Vietnam through family or relationships
- Want to understand spoken Vietnamese better and speak more naturally
- Feel stuck after self-study or traditional courses
- Care about real communication, not textbook Vietnamese
If your goal is confidence in real conversations, you’re in the right place.
How I Teach Vietnamese
I don’t just teach Vietnamese — I co-create a learning journey with my students.
In every lesson, we build a strong foundation for:
- real conversational flow
- listening & speaking confidence
- cultural understanding
- long-term retention
My teaching is guided by a Smart Learning Approach and a goal-oriented strategy, meaning you learn what matters to you, in a way that feels natural and usable.
Learning Vietnamese isn’t about memorizing random vocabulary or grammar rules.
It’s about learning what you need, when you need it, and how to use it in real life.
My Vietnamese Teaching Methods
Smart Learning Approach — Learn More Efficiently
Lessons are designed to match how the brain naturally absorbs and retains language:
- clear input
- contextual learning
- repetition with meaning
- immediate real-life application
This helps learners progress faster without feeling overwhelmed.
Goal-Oriented Strategy — Your Goals Shape the Lessons
There is no one-size-fits-all path.
Whether you’re learning Vietnamese for daily life, family, relationships, travel, or work, your personal goals become the roadmap for our lessons — ensuring every session feels relevant and purposeful.
What Makes My Vietnamese Lessons Different
My lessons are entirely learner-centered and focus mainly on:
- Listening & Speaking
- Practical Southern Vietnamese for daily situations
- Interactive practice (practice x practice x practice = progress)
- Personalized lessons based on your goals and pace
- Cultural insights — learning Vietnamese through everyday life
You won’t just study Vietnamese — you’ll start to live it 💛
What Students Say About My Vietnamese Lessons
According to my students, what stands out most is not only what we learn, but how the learning feels.
They often mention:
- Clear pedagogical guidance, especially for tones and pronunciation
- Lessons tailored to their real-life needs
- Practical topics they can apply immediately
- A learning environment that feels professional, kind, encouraging, and enjoyable
I don’t just help students build new skills — I help them strengthen and retain what they’ve learned, so progress feels steady and lasting.
Real Progress, Not Polite Praise
Real progress often looks like this:
- Feeling more confident in real conversations
- Understanding spoken Vietnamese more clearly
- Feeling less afraid to speak
- Actually using Vietnamese in daily life
Some Small but Meaningful Milestones
- One beginner student from Colombia, starting from zero, began forming her own word combinations by the sixth lesson.
- A student from Canada refined his pronunciation after eight sessions, overcoming confusion between /t/–/th/, /n/–/ng/, and /k/–/kh/.
- A student from the USA shared that after a few months, he felt more relaxed listening and more confident speaking Vietnamese in everyday situations.
Many of my students later become my most enthusiastic referrers — something I’m deeply grateful for.
A Small Gift for Your Vietnamese Journey
One of the first obstacles many learners face in Vietnamese isn’t grammar — it’s how to address people.
Who should you call anh, chị, em, cô, or chú?
What if you choose the wrong one and feel awkward or rude?
That’s why I’m creating a small, practical guide focused on Vietnamese address terms, based on real questions and real classroom experiences.
This guide is designed to help learners:
- understand how addressing works in daily Vietnamese (not just theory)
- choose address terms with more confidence
- feel less afraid to speak and more connected when interacting with others
